From an early age music has played a big part in my life.I'm from Liverpool and have four lovely talented children, two boys and two girls who are all big music lovers. I used to sing to them when they were little (and they still grew up right!).

When I was a child I used to play 45rpm records till the record player overheated and the hot wax gave off a smell that stays with me to this day. My first memories of music was rock 'n' roll and country music which were played at home. The sound stuck with me and never left me. My Dad was a member of the "Royal Liverpool Opera Company" and sang tenor, he introduced me to classical music which I also like. Two of my Uncles were pianists and composers. My Mums influence on me was country music which was always in the pop charts back then. I used to sing along to Jim Reeves and Mickie and Griff, Jim Reeves was my Mums favourite, then I thought I'd like to try and write my own songs instead of singing other peoples, that's when I was a teenager and they were pretty awful and not very original. That's how it started, but I got better.

Recently I started to have my own songs produced by John Dolan a local musician and entertainer. I had some vocal and backing tracks made and now I sing my own songs wherever I can. I became a member of "The Guild of International Songwriters and Composers" who give expert advice on all aspects of the music industry, they are invaluable to anyone who wants to start a career in music. A few of my early heroes were "Hank Williams, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Jim Reeves and Buck Owens.I write about my life, observations, places I've been, places I'd like to go (like Nashville!), thoughts and emotions, people, real and fictional, life experiences happy and sad. Sometimes I capture music from dreams, I hear music or see people singing songs that don't exist. Strange but true! Some of my best melodies have come from from these experiences.

I have been played on Joe Fish Country, and by Eleanor Levin on BBC Radio Lancashire when Joe's away, Kenny Johnson's Sounds Country on radio Merseyside and by Billy Maher on radio Merseyside. I'm very grateful for the airplay they give me and being played alongside all the "Country Greats" is an honor and a privilege. As a result of my airplay by Joe Fish I was contacted by Alan Foulks from Walton a DJ from the "Hospital Radio Network" where I am now also played.
